Thank you to Teddy!! Welcome back again & again Robert!!
As many of you know already or if you don't yet, it is with a sad heart that we N2N have lost a great original member, Teddy Filoteo. He has been with from the start of this long journey and has helped to mold and direct Next 2 Nothing into the great and blessed band that it is today. We wish him the absolute best in his new ventures. He is a great guy and was key in N2N's success. Make sure to keep your eyes and ears open though because he may be back out on the scene. I definately hope so. With that being said we welcome back for the 3rd time Robert Tamayo, another original member. Hang on folks, the ride is in full swing. We have 5 new bars this year that we are very excited about and some summer street dances. We also have our first original, "Is It Worth It?" out. You can hear it on myspace. We also hope to have our first full length CD out by November of this year so STAY TUNED!!!!

A great big thanks to all the bands and local band support!!
I wanted to address how proud I am to be a musician in the S. MN area, especially Rochester. There are soo many great bands and the best thing is we all support each other. It is what makes playing so great and what also makes our local music scene soo strong. At our show in Stewartville this last weekend we had members from Unatural, Bakkus, Nectar, Misfit Toys, Black Valentine and the G- Monkey's there. It was sooo kick ass to have support like that. These are all GREAT bands so if you ever have the opportunity make sure you go and support these guys. Check out our links page to get to their sites and check out their schedules. Many thanks again. Make sure to support the local music scene and these bands whenever possible. Lastly, I want to give the highest praise to Tim Peter's, lead singer from Bakkus. He came out both nights and got up and sang a few times with us. He was there to help when some issues arose, he helped load equipment, too many things to even mention. He is a great friend to the band and just a great guy. Thanks Tim for being so kick ass!!!

    - Christopher M. Janvrin, Sr. N2N

Welcome Bobby!!!!! Bye, Bye Robert
The cat is appearantly out of the bag. We have tried to keep it hush hush but word of mouth has hit Rochester like a verbage tornado. So here it is......... Next to Nothing would like to announce the addition of its newest member!    Bobby Pegram!!!!    He brings alot to our plate. Many of you know him as Bobby Valentine. He was in and still currently is recording with his band Black Valentine. He has decided to add more to his plate, so he hopped along the N2N roller coaster. Now on to Bobby. He is a great guitarist and vocalist. Very strong and he definatley knows his way around the stage. His on stage antics are also a great asset to the N2N show you are all used to. He fits right in. We are lucky to have added someone with so much professionalism to Next to Nothing. Welcome Bobby! To find out more on him, check out his Bio Page. Make sure you go up to him and welcome him in true N2N fashion and buy him a drink. If he turns it down, bring it to Chris!    I would also like to thank Robert Tamayo for all the wonderful years you have put in to Next to Nothing. He decided to move on to other ventures almost 2 years ago and was patient enough to let us find the perfect replacement. What a gentleman and scholar. He has now moved on to another great local band Shameless. Make sure to check him out at one of their shows. Check out their website to find out there schedule. Thanks again Robert and we will miss you and show you by crashing stage at one of your up and coming shows!!! HA!!!!

All of the people that attended and all the bands that participated. It was a great thing to do to support our fellow Americans. I don't know what the grand total was but I do know we raised ALOT of money and it was all worthwhile. Also thanks to Tom and Cheryl from the Star for hosting it. Once again you show why the Star is a great place. Thanks everyone!

Jessi's Benefit HUGE success!
Dennis Wilson and I would like to thank EVERYONE that helped in making Jessi's benefit such a big success. With only 2 and a half weeks to put it together the results were amazing. Over $6,000 was raised and from the start to finish the North Star was packed with around 400 people. It goes to show how much Jessi was loved! Lot's of good stories were told and it was another reason for lot's of great friends and family to come together. A HUGE thanks to the North Star for letting us host it there and for all the hospitality they gave and a rather large donation was also given by them. Thank you to Tom and the North Star family! Also to the girls who helped get donations and for all the effort they put in to lighten the load on Dennis and myself. Thanks you Rachel, Stacy, Carrie and Shelly. You gals made it what it was. Another big thanks to ALL the bands that donated their time and also money out of their pockets. What a great event! Thanks to G-Monkeys, Unatural, Next to Nothing (me, HA), Shameless, Tattooed Soul and Misfit Toys. Also a special thanks to Tattooed Soul for flying all the way from AZ just so they could be a part of this event. What a great band and a great bunch of guys. Jessi Fritz Memorial Benefit
It is set! Many of the local bands in the area and one from out of state, along with the North Star have grouped together to put on a benefit to raise money for Brad and Colton Fritz, Jessi's husband and son. We are all attempting at making the load a little lighter financially for both of them. Jessi meant alot to all of us and we HAD to do something. This will be a time that we can all group together to talk about the fun times we had with her and hopefully pull in some money as well. We need EVERYONE'S help though. Come on down even if you didn't know her, it will be a great time nonetheless and maybe you will hear of the impact that she had on all of us. It will be held at the North Star in Rochester. There will be food, raffles and a silent auction. Lots of things to bid on so don't miss out. It is for a great cause, Jessi, so bring your smile on down on Sunday, April 17th because that is the way she would want it. The line up was done from the pick of the hat. Just us musicians trying to make it fun. Lineup will be as follows:

    5:00 - 5:45      G-Monkeys

    6:00 - 6:45      Unatural

    7:00 - 7:45      Next to Nothing

    8:00 - 8:45     Shameless

    9:00 - 9:45     Tattooed Soul

    10:00 - 10:45     Misfit Toys

9:30 to close   Open Jam hosted by TBA

This is the lineup. Tattooed Soul is Jessi's brother-in-laws band from Arizona. Most of you know Tim Smude, well this is his band and this is their MN debut so you won't want to miss it. Make sure to come down and enjoy all the great bands, what am I talking about, KICK ASS bands!! and to have a great night. Lots of wonderful items in the raffle and in the silent auction. You won't want to miss it. I believe the event is starting at 4:00 and there will be a Good Will donation at the door. See you there!

A Sad Heart
I send out this with a sad heart. The world has lost a great individual. Jessica Fritz past away on Monday, March 14th. She was the Manager at Bon's and is the one who pushed for the first Bonsfest and to get bands in there on 2 nights, us being the first. She wrote our reference letter and meant alot to the band. She was currently Managing at Panera Bread in Rochester. She is survived by her son Colton, her husband Brad, her Mother Bette and Father Dennis, sister Bree and brothers Brock and Ryan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. If I could describe Jess in one word it would be "SMILES". She was that and sooo much more. We will all miss you each and every day Jess! We plan on doing a benefit soon so stay tuned. There is already talk of us, Shameless, Unatural & 7 Day Weekend playing for the benefit. Make sure to check back often so you don't miss this event.

Joe French Benefit Smashing Success
The Joe French Stroke Benefit was a HUGE success! It was so nice to see SOOO many people down there on a Sunday. There were so many people that put in there free time to make this thing work and it definately paid off. Lot's of prizes were given out, a silent auction, 4 great local bands and capped off with a superb jam night. The turnout and fun that went on that night was something that I will never forget. The jam was also excellent. Joe even chopped off his John Cougar Melloncamp. Now he is a short hair!!!! That was the summit of the evening. A few tears were shed. Once again a night that will live on forever. I thank everyone that came down and everyone that supoported such a great cause for a great guy. We all love ya Joe!

    - Christopher M. Janvrin, Sr. N2N

Notes of Appreciation Part II
Everyone by now should be aware of Joe French's condition. To recap, quite a few months ago Joe French, soundguy at the North Star in Rochester, had a stroke. We are very thankful to say that he is back in the ring again but on a slow road to recovery but getting there. All of the local bands around town know what Joe means to all of us. No one wants the "YOU SUCK!!" button pushed. Anyways, we all want to show our support for him and help out in any way WE can and we also need all of YOUR support to do this. The Joe French Stroke Benefit has been setup to raise money to help Joe reach maximum Joe capacity. It has taken alot of planning but we managed to gather all the main local acts to play on Sunday, October 24th and end with an open jam night. So bring all your friends and your friends friends and there mom's and roommates and the such and come down to party. Remember, if you play an instrument or can sing, come on down and do your part in helping Joe. The schedule is as follows:

    3:30 - 4:30      Shameless

    5:00 - 6:00      Next to Nothing

    6:30 - 7:30     7 Day Weekend

    8:00 - 9:00     Unatural

9:30 to close   Open Jam hosted by Krister

Come on down to have a fun day and night and drink up. It couldn't go to a better cause. Hope to see you all down at the North Star on Sunday, October 24th. Ta ta!

    - Christopher M. Janvrin, Sr. N2N

I will post more as soon as I find out more facts such as ticket prices and such. See ya there!

    - Christopher M. Janvrin, Sr. N2N

Notes of Appreciation
I would like to take time to thank all of our N2N family, friends & fans. With everyone coming and having such a good time at our shows, it makes it impossible for us to have a bad show. You are all what make what we do sooo much fun. We appreciate ALL the support that everyone gives. I also want to take time to thank Kevin Senner for helping us out in a real bind. He pointed us in the direction of soundman Joel Swygman on June 18th. He came in and ran sound for us at the North Star with 4 hours to showtime! They both were total saviors and made it possible for us to play and have another excellent weekend at the Star. N2N thanks you both VERY much and appreciate such a last minute rescue mission. Now the reason for needing to find a soundguy is that Joe French, soundman at the North Star, had a stroke earlier that week. He is the cornerstone at the Star. ALWAYS there. He put in the good word for us to get our first show at the Star. He means a lot to all the bands that come thru there and all the regulars that go down to the Star. Our hearts and prayers go out to Joe and we hope he has a speedy and quick recovery. We all miss you and it’s not the same without you there. Get well!!!!

    - Christopher M. Janvrin, Sr. N2N

Bon's New Years Eve Bash 2004
I would like to thank everyone that kicked off the new year N2N style! If you were there you realized clothing was optional and the majority left champagne soaked. That is, if you remember leaving. It was a great show with plenty of beautiful women dancing all night with a few debuting as topless dancers, so to all the guys out there that didn't make it, Ha! Better come next time. Thanks again and maybe this is a start to another N2N Chapter. Until next time...Wakka! Wakka! Wakka!

    - Christopher M. Janvrin, Sr. N2N

Mayhem in Mantorville
I would like to thank EVERYONE that came to the Mayhem in Mantorville show. It was a huge success with a huge turnout.
